Dream Axiom Community Initiatives

Posted on: Mon, 06/15/2020 - 12:12 By: Leon San Salvador
Dream Axiom's team is comprised of a small but dedicated team of diverse, action oriented, and compassionate people. During our most recent discussions, we all agreed that we want to pursue solid opportunities to improve our communities. As a result of our discussions, we are assembling specific initiatives to make both immediate and long-term impact. These initiatives will focus on the following: 1. Helping our neighbors in RVA and CBUS clean up after recent events. 2. Examining opportunities for us to invest our time and capital to support our local communities. 3. Improving our recruiting and outreach to increase minority applicants for positions at Dream Axiom.

COVID-19 Update

In these uncertain times, an abundance of caution may mean the difference between wellness and potentially life-threatening illness. The past few weeks have been a tumultuous time, the situation changing rapidly, tensions high, and fear ruling the day. For the past week and a half, we here at Dream Axiom have been continuing our work on existing projects remotely where possible and with coming into our offices reduced to the absolute bare minimum necessary.

The Therac-25: A Major Failure in Patient Safety

March 8-14, 2020 is Patient Safety Awareness Week! As stated by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, it "is an annual recognition event intended to encourage everyone to learn more about health care safety." Their page on the subject goes on to explain that, "Although there has been real progress made in patient safety over the past two decades, current estimates cite medical harm as a leading cause of death worldwide." Sadly, these deaths are largely preventable. This initiative was created to raise awareness about the role that everyone in the healthcare industry plays in ensuring the safety of patients - even if they never even see one. You might be wondering why we at Dream Axiom would...

Poochee and Pansy Youtube Channel Attack

Posted on: Mon, 01/27/2020 - 10:07 By: Leon San Salvador

On January 26, 2020, at approximately 3:30PM, a bad actor gained unauthorized access to the Poochee and Pansy Youtube channel, and uploaded a video fraudulently labeled as the Episode 2 HD remaster.

This was not an official Poochee and Pansy episode, and was immediately removed by our team upon regaining access to the channel.

Plans are still in the works to release the entire HD remastered Poochee and Pansy series, and we regret any confusion this attack may have caused in this regard. We care about our creators' work, and take this kind of event very seriously.

No matter what your personal convictions, you have to agree that religion holds, and has held, a rather controversial place in our society.

The power religious organizations had, even just a few years ago, once made it difficult for even the world’s biggest stars to make statements that could be viewed as sacrilegious.

And we are happy to announce that we will be remastering the entire series in the near future. We cannot commit to a specific schedule at this time, but rest assured, you will be seeing more of the heroic pups soon!

Thank Goodness for Monday!

We hope all our US friends had a great Thanksgiving vacation. Some of us even had an extended weekend. But it's Monday, and that's great! TGIM! If you sympathize with a certain lasagne-munching cat, such a sentiment may seem preposterous. Monday? That means the weekend is over! It's time to go back to work! Why would anyone celebrate...

Happy (Day After) Thanksgiving!

I have a lot to be thankful for. I am at a better place in my life than I have ever been. I am happier than I have been in decades, I am enjoying the simple (and challenging!) pleasures of parenthood, and I am exercising my creative freedom in new ways.

Do I look back with regret or disgust at where I was when I was at my least happy? Of course not! My past endeavors are some of the building blocks that make who I am today. I am grateful for all I have experienced.
